Fenton STRAWBERRIES ON OBAL glass HEART COVERED TRINKET BOX -Gift Shop Exclusive

Description: FentonStrawberrry DecoratedCOVERED HEART TRINKET BOX CIRCA UNKNOWN---(FENTON GIFT SHOP EXCLUSIVE)This box is about as rare a Fenton item as you can find now a days. It is their typical Heart shaped Trinket box with a covered lid done in white opal (milk glass) and then sandblasted to give a dull finish. Once done, it was handed over to a decorator at the Fenton factory and this wonderful STRAWBERRY design was painted on the lid section only. Note the "GSE" under the signature of the decorator. That stands for GIFT SHIP EXCLUSIVE and not too many pieces ever had that label put on it This box is in good condition with very little wear marks on it though there could be some. I see no chips, cracks or repairs anywhere on the piece. It might need a little (but not much) cleaning but over all, it is in pretty good shape. This box is about 4 inches wide, about 4-1/8 inches from the top to the bottom point area, and is about 2 inches tall. All measurements taken with the lid ON. I could not spot a Fenton logo and suspect it was sandblasted off when they did that. Though it could be there somewhere, I just don't know where. I also could NOT find a date on this piece either but figure it was done sometime in the early 2000's. It's only a guess however. It is signed by the actual decorator who decorated it and this case it is It is signed but I can't really make out the sigure of the artist. It could be D. Bruun but I don't know for sure.
