Description: ORIGINAL COLLECTION OF 6 1928 WRIGHT AERONAUTICAL CORP FRANK LEMON FLYING PRINTSThis is a wonderful original grouping. I have had individual examples of these in the past but this is the first time I have ever had more than one at a time. I figured rather than selling them individually, I figured I would sell them all together for some new collector to really get a jump on the collection. This is a group of 6 of them from 1928. This is really a great group. First, they are the complete sheets with full margins. Most of these had been cut down for framing. The sheets all measure around 21 x 18 inches. As you can see by the pictures, the images are in outstanding condition. Really stunning original vibrant color that looks as though they might have been hand colored. Really about as good color as they were when originally printed. As you can see there are some minor bumps and tears to the borders. A few other minor creases as well but nothing too bad. As you can see most of the margins are quite clean with just some minor discoloration at the outer edges. The margins on the Macready & Kelly obviously show a bit more but the images are so good that matting over the margins would make it nearly all disappear. The 6 titles included in this lot is "With one beat of his wing, Charles Lindbergh goes to Paris, 1927", "The conqueror of one pole attempts the other; Commander Byrd, the Antarctic 1929", "Louis Bleriot passes the White Cliffs of Dover in May 1909", "To Australia by Air; Kingsford-Smith and his companions over Juva", "Liet Commander Albert C Read nears the Azores in a Navy Plane, 1919", "Crossing the States in the span of the same sun; Lieutenants Macready & Kelly, 1923". Do your own research on these prints. Often find a single one of these priced at more than I am asking for the lot. Prints are stored in a tube and will be shipped that way.
