Description: Antique dark green, straight sided soda bottle with sloping shoulder. Embossed with XC and the number 2 on the heel. It stands 7 3/4 inches tall. Characteristics show it to be machine made and dating it to the early 1900s: * the side seams run from the base bottom to the top of the finish lip.* has a crown finish.* has bubbles in the glass, including an upside down "V" bubble in its neck.* has iron pontil scar on base. There are irregularities in the roundness of the cylinder glass body, exhibiting areas where the glass surface slightly flattens. There is some staining inside the bottle, but minimal. There are some areas of etching on the outside of the bottle. I am not an expert on dating bottles, but I researched the subject intensely and feel that the above information is accurate.
