DCS Passive Mode 22uh Choke, TVS Diode, and DCS Signal LED Indicator

Description: DCS Passive Mode Choke, TVS Diode, and DCS Signal LED Indicator. This board allows you to cleanly hook up your MTH TIU to your track in Passive mode. What is passive mode? well it is simply the act of putting the DCS signal on the track without running the possible high current through your expensive and unavailable TIU. The issue is typically just hooking up the TIU outputs to the track the DCS signal strength suffers. It was identified by others in the O gauge hobby that a 22uh Choke put before the DCS signal to help clean up the incoming power solved this problem and in some cases had better signal strength than the standard Active mode hook up. The board also features:Power LED- Lets you know when power is applied if the board is in a visible location TMCC/Legacy Hookup- a convent spot to tie in you TMCC or Legacy signal NOTE this does nothing to improve the TMCC/LEGACY signal DCS signal indicator- There is now also a second Red LED that will blink any time a signal is sent from the TIU to the track. this is a fun additional blinking light that could be used for simple troubleshooting confirming that the TIU is sending signal to the track. There is also a sensitivity adjuster to allow you to tune the light for your specific TIU TVS Diode Protection- This diode aids in the suppression of voltage spikes caused by derailments, power surges, sparks caused by dirty wheels or track and any other high voltage transient voltage that could damage the TIU signal generator or your trains Power Choke- The board it's self is rated to handle a constant 20A of Power. The Choke has a saturation current of 14A. The maximum current rating of the coke is 28A.
