A timeless suit that has been meticulously preserved over the years. I have some pieces from the closet of John Demsey's most impressive wardrobe. All are Savile Row pieces. John Demsey is well known in high fashion circles as the president of Ester Lauder. His clothing appetite is voracious. He has so much stuff, he often doesn't wear it all. 99% of these could pass for new. This one is perfect except for the fraying on the hems as mentioned in the condition statement and shown in the photos. Depending on the inseam length needed, you may be able to hide this inside the cuff or even inside the leg. It's just that exterior layer that's frayed. It measures in the 42 long range. The jacket is an athletic cut. The chest is cut just a whisper roomy like the fit of 43 and the belly is slim like the fit of a 41. Sleeves could be just a touch short for some longs so make sure those can work for you. All other measurements are clearly a long fitting suit. Jacket length and pants inseam even leans on the longer side of long. Be sure and check the measurements below for details on fit. Jacket is a 3 button single breasted , fully lined with side vents, ticket pocket and working sleeve buttons. The pants are reverse pleated and cuffed. No belt loops and no back pockets. Adjustable side tabs to help secure fit. They're also lined front and back all the way down. Legs are full fitting. Width at hem is 10". Rise is 13 1/2". The fabric is 100% flannel wool in weight best for cooler to cold weather. Color is solid black. Best representation on color and tone is the one of the sleeve cuff. Sometimes the lighting on some of the others can make it appear lighter than it actually is. Measurements: JACKET Sleeve (from shoulder hem to end of sleeve) 25 1/4" w/0" that could be let out due to working sleeve buttons.
