CERUSSITE CRYSTAL WITH TINY BARITE BLADESFROM MIBLADEN, MOROCCO. This is a complexly faced cerussite with tiny barite blades stuck in it.This was collected in 2021 and bought in Tucson the following year. While this is relatively small at 1 1/4" tall, it is relatively large for the locality and type of crystal. This usually grows on top of and with barite blades and galena. The cerussite rarely gets this big from the locality. This crystal is very dense and has a high specific gravity as is typical for cerussite. Like most cerussite, this crystal has many, many small and complex crystal faces.Approximate size of crystal specimen: 1" wide X 7/8" deep X 1 1/4" tall or in metric: 2.5 X 2.3 X 3.2 CM. This weighs 1.40 ounces or 39 grams when weighed on a precision scale . This is shown with enlarged images so please note: This is shown with large high-resolution images. The photos show the specimen as if you were examining it with a magnifying glass. Every good detail, and every bad detail, is shown in a blaze of glory or shame as the case may be. Having said that, since the photos are highly enlarged you may see features or blemishes that will not be detectable or will not be as prominent to the naked eye.
