Description: This is a rare and unique part of Calvary Chapel (of Costa Mesa) and Maranatha! Music history. This is a cassette tape collection of 22 of the earliest cassette releases (some still sealed) from artists in the Maranatha! Music collection of bands and musicians. These are the original issue cassettes, in early and strange casings (see pics). But assuredly, they have not seen much use. This cassette tape collection was original owned by Chuck & Kay Smith, the head pastors for the Calvary Chapel church and subsequent movement. The cassette collection was then bequeathed to Chuck Smith's sister, then along to others. (Provenance can be proven if necessary.) This is a rare and unique part of early Jesus movement history.
