Description: This is a unique studio art pottery bowl with a textured center an Asian newspaper pattern. There are squares, rectangles, and different sizes of print resembling titles and articles. The 1" rim of the bowl is flat and heavily glazed, with a round, pressed emblem on one side. This is a large piece, measuring 11" in diameter x 2" tall. It weighs just over three pounds. The underside has three green felt dots to protect furniture, and the incised name of "MICHEL". This appears to be the work of clay artist Michel McCarter, who is a Pacific Northwest potter and signs her pieces using her first name. Sometimes there will be a title underneath her signature, but this piece is untitled and undated. This stunning handmade bowl is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
