Description: A very beautiful design that straddles the arts and crafts and art nouveau styles! This fabric is an antique French panel dating c1870. The pattern is almost Indienne or paisley, stylized floral and foliage with a beautiful, well aged ground. ~*~ The tone of the ground is uneven, some points it is nearly gray with age marks and foxing, and others it is an aged off-white natural tone. The colors of the pattern include khaki, a faded/earthy/muted tomato red and a muted purple. The pattern was roller and hand block printed. This is a medium weight cotton, it would be lovely for light upholstery, pillows , framing, lampshades etc. Some fragile areas would need to be cut around for projects, please see condition below and in the photos. ~*~ A wonderful find ~*~ ~ (ff200) MEASUREMENTS: This wonderful panel measures 167 inches long by 35 inches wide CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with light storage dust. This piece is faded and heavily marked with speckled pale gray age marks throughout. There is one spot where the fabric is quite thin, near the center by a seam, where there are many holes and the fabric is very fragile there. Otherwise there are some tiny holes only around the rest of this length. There are four seams on this piece. 8/28/18
