Description: This exquisite hand-blown iced tea glass was made by Arte Italica. From the AIZ2 line, swags and a gold encrusted band encircle the deep amethyst glass. Depending on the light, the amethyst varies from deep and dark to a light grape (even a bit of hot pink can be seen in the glass at times). This shiny piece is in excellent condition: There are no chips, no cracks and very little loss of gold that I can see. The interior of the glass retains its sheer clarity so that the etched designs can easily be seen from the inside out. The glass stands 7.5 inches high, with a diameter at the top of 3.5 inches and a base diameter of 3 inches. There are a few flaws to note: There are some spots of tarnish on the top of the gold band (see 2nd to last photo), some slight wear on the inside of the upper gold rim of the glass (see 3rd to last photo) and a few smudged spots in the purple that can only be noticed in certain light. In addition, there are some imperfections at the base of the glass (see 4th to last photo), including a few faint scratches and a round one the size of a quarter of a dime right up against the gold outline. It is very hard to spot and was very difficult to capture in a photo (see 4th to last photo at the very bottom of the image). This regal glass is stunning and hard to find in such wonderful, golden condition.
