Description: Antique Victorian RED & BLACK Leather Side Button BABY SHOES BOOTS Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE BABY SHOES Charming pair of antique Victorian RED and BLACK leather hi-top side button baby shoes/boots measuring 4-1/4" long, 1-7/8" across the widest point of the foot, 1-1/2" wide at the back of the foot, and about 2-1/2" in height. Featuring three original, dyed to match red buttons on each shoe, they have a black splat and side button closure with sturdy leather soles - unmarked, assuming they are crib shoes. Condition is lovely with minor creasing to the leather around the ankle from wear, and a bit of scuffing to the red buttons - they are still very sturdy without holes, tears, or separation - leather is pliable - color is a deep rich deep red and crisp black. I've always displayed them as shown - stuffed with tissue to give them a nice firm shape. Think these are just too sweet - saved by some loving Mother - color is awesome and design is so unusual - wonderful addition to any children's antique shoe collection!
