Description: Antique Thomas Hughes & Son England Flow Blue Lg Ftd Tureen Here is a very beautiful antique Thomas Hughes & Son flow blue large footed handled covered tureen. It measures about 11 5/8" across handle to handle or about 8 7/8" diameter at the opening. It is about 7 1/2" tall to top of handle on lid. It is in excellent condition. There is a small pit to the to edge of the base partially decorated over and probably done in the making (see photo). There are no other chips or cracks. There is some very fine allover crazing to the base. There is some very mild patchy light brownish discoloration to inside bottom. I cannot rule out the possibility of some old overglaze to inside of base, possibly done to cover up discoloration. The distribution of the mild areas of discoloration is a bit unusual. There is an area of bumpy glaze inside bottom. Gold trim is in excellent condition with just a trace of wear here and there. Looks great. Please see photos.
