Antique, early 19th century over two centuries old decoratively three quarters leather bound volumes with marbled paper covered boards and marbled outer page fore edges. Spine faces are decoratively hubbed and gold gilded with red leather labels and added handwritten labels. Exteriors of the books are clean with minor rubbing to the outer upper and lower edges of the spine and outer corner edges of the front and back coverboard. Interiors of the books remain overall very clean with some minor foxing throughout and very minor and occasional marginal soils. Pages remain bright and sturdy. Title pages show small pencil notations as do blank front endpapers following the first marbled ones. Last page of each volume also has a pencil notation. Volumes' bindings are tight and well intact and the books are complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Volume I totals 441 pages and Volume II totals 491 pages. Both volumes together weigh about 3 1/4 pounds and measure approximately 8 5/8 x 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
