Description: Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this antique Chinese opium oil lamp. The ornate lamp features an engraved maiden and calligraphy on the cover along with beautiful geometric pierce work on the base and oil container holder which also has a fret or Greek key design around the top. Both oil container and base have same mark as shown. I am not certain if this is Paktong, brass or possibly bronze? CONDITION - The lamp is in nice, antique, pre-owned condition! Shows normal age/use wear, surface wear, darkening of metal, top fits but sits loose and is threaded I believe a screw ring is missing from the base - original estate found patina.
