This is a Rare Antique 19th Century Ansonia "Chemung" Victorian Porcelain Ceramic Mantel Shelf Clock, made by the Ansonia Clock Company New York USA, circa 1882. It has a Beautiful Large Footed White German Fine China Porcelain Ceramic Case with Colorful Floral Flowers and Gilt Accents, with Some Crazing From Age. The Case is Signed on the Back "Chemung". This Has a The Original Fancy Paper Over Tin Dial with Arabic Numerals and Ornate Reticulated Brass Overlay. This Clock has an Ansonia Brass Mechanical 8 Day "Time and Strike" Key Wound Movement, which is signed "Ansonia Clock Co. New York USA Patented June 18 1882". It has a Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime which Strikes Once On The Half Hour and the Correct Amount Of Times On The Hour For the Time. There are 2 Winding Arbors, and It includes a Winding Key and Correct Adjustable Regulator Pendulum. The Clock Measures approx. 8 1/4" Wide x 11" Tall x 5" Deep. The Porcelain Case is in Good Original Condition with Some Crazing From Age, As Pictured!!! The Clock is Currently Not Working. One of the Main Springs Needs To Be Replaced. This Will Need Service, or Attention, Sold As Found. This is Being Sold for Parts, Restoration or Repair with Great Potential!!! It Has Not Been Serviced or Tested For Accuracy, Sold As Found!
