Description: Antique 1800s Turkish Bindalli Wedding Dress Robe Gold Lamé Red Velvet AS IS. Here we have a gold embroidered marriage robe, also known as a Bindalli, from Turkey during the turn of the century. This gorgeous wedding robe features wine colored silk velvet, and intricate gold lamè raised thread arabesques and flowers. The gown features long sleeves, and an open front with a matching gold lamè detail that appears to have been the closure. There are slits along the bottom sides of the piece. This piece is in good condition for its age, however there are some issues to note. There are some holes, tearing, and loose threads throughout the piece. The closure is broken.
