8 pcs. 10 ohm 5 watt NOS wire-wound linear potentiometers

Description: These are NOS 10 ohm 5 watt wire-wound linear taper potentiometers. Each lot includes 8 potentiometers, 8 washers, and 8 nuts for mounting (everything in the first image). They are well-sealed and electrically good -- the internal track and wiper are in pristine condition. However, the oil inside the shafts has dried up and they will require lubrication to rotate smoothly. My preferred method is applying WD-40 to the shaft, rotating the shaft repeatedly, then removing the WD-40 with the edge of a paper towel. I then apply a lubricating oil to the shaft. After doing so, the pots will turn nicely. The contacts are also dirty and have some superficial corrosion, as can be seen in the first image. Scrubbing them with contact cleaner or WD-40 and a paper towel will easily remove the corrosion and give you nice tabs for soldering. The plating is still intact under the dirt. The second image shows what the pots look like once they've been cleaned up. I purchased multiple boxes of these potentiometers at the estate sale of a retired engineer. They are UN-USED new old stock that I'm removing from the original factory packaging (see photo). The brand is KSC Industries. I attached a photo of the shipping label on the boxes -- I don't know anything about the company. I was refurbishing these myself and selling them, but I simply do not have time anymore. The cheapest 10 ohm wire-wound potentiometer on Mouser is about $6. This is an amazing deal if you're willing to do some cleaning!
