These adaptable, yet bizarre looking creatures depicted are the Fanfin Anglerfish, the Sea Cucumber, the Fangtooth, the Amphipod, and the Medusa. A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. These stamps have been designated as Scott Number 3443a.
