These adaptable, yet bizarre looking creatures depicted are the Fanfin Anglerfish, the Sea Cucumber, the Fangtooth, the Amphipod, and the Medusa. A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released.
