Description: 2 x WWII Emergency / Guerrilla notes from the Philippines, 10 Pesos from 1944 and 20 Pesos from 1942, for Iloilo province. They were issued by "Authority of the President of the Philippines" in Iloilo after the Japanese invaded. These notes are series of 1942 and series of 1944. These notes state "The Philippine National Bank will pay to the bearer on demand in lawful currency of the Philippines". They were used by the US and Philippine guerrillas who were fighting the Japanese. Both of these notes are in circulated condition. For notes issued during war time and which circulated in the warm, tropical climate of the Philippines, they are in decent shape. Please take a look at the photos to see for yourself. I am listing other Philippine, Guerrilla, and JIM notes.
