Only 4 graded in 9.4 in CGC census with a total of 9 across all grades compared to 50 graded in direct editions. Graded CGC 9.4 WHITE PAGES. Actual item in pictures for sale. 1990’s Spawn newsstand editions were literally printed on newspaper grade thin paper. The paper used on the covers were thinner compared to the direct editions making them so much easier to damage. Newsstand variants were not sold to collectors inside comic book retail stores. They were found at actual newsstands, often displayed in spinner racks inside liquor stores, grocery stores etc and were typically printed on lower quality paper and were never bagged and boarded and often abused. Very few newsstand variants survived making them extremely SCARCE in high grade and many unsold newsstand copies were either returned to the publisher or destroyed.
