Description: Here is a reproduction radio delete plate for all 1970-72 SS Chevelles & El Caminos with round gauge style dashes. Originals are impossible to find,as noted on the team chevelle forum there are only a couple known to exist. The 3rd and 4th photos, also from the team chevelle forum, is of an ultra-rare original, this is NOT the one you are buying.Those photos are to confirm that the original had a single small screw boss on the back. I will install a threaded metal stud into the hole,you will need to make a backing bracket (see photo of original bracket) The mold for this casting was made from an original factory radio delete plate for 1970-72 Chevelles with the sweep speedo dash, which was a plain face plate with a raised edge. The radios were the same so the size is correct. A grain finish was added to resemble the photo of the original factory stamped sheet metal plate. This piece was pressure-cast in a strong black plastic.
