Description: Offered is this vintage four-page newspaper-style newsletter, "The Ivy Press", Vol. 1, No. 4, from Lander College (now University) in Greenwood, South Carolina. The newspaper is dated Thursday, Feb. 20, but no year is given. However, there is an article about the selection of "Miss Valentine" of 1964, and Feb. 20 was on a Thursday that year. There are numerous other articles about happenings at the college and in the local area, some with black and white photos, and some local ads. This is a rare, maybe unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find another copy of this issue or any other of this newsletter for sale on eBay or anywhere else. Each page is approx. 15" x 11 3/8". It is in very good condition. There are no tears or holes but the paper has yellowed and there are heavy creases on the fold lines. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
