Description: 1953 D/D Lincoln Wheat Cent RPM 001 Error #2 This listing is for one 1953-D/D Lincoln Wheat Cent RPM #001. This 1953-D/D RPM-001 coin has clear Re-punched details of the “D” mint mark. It’s a circulated coin but problem free. The main detail for distinguishing the RPM-001 from other varieties of RPMs for this date and would be the position of the “D” Mint Mark. It’s located directly inline beneath the “5” in the date. Other similar varieties are located more centrally between the “9” and “5” location. References list values for the RPM-001 to be approximately 50% higher than other RPM varieties for this date and mint mark. In my opinion this coin would grade Very Fine Plus in condition.
