Description: This is an original 1939 MORGES Silver Medal is from an Interscholastic Athletics Championship that took place between Le Rosey and other nearby schools involved at the time for Rowing. LE ROSEY is consistently ranked as the most prestigious and expensive school in the entire world and is based in Switzerland. The engraving of this coin was done by the iconic Huguenin which has been in business for more than 120 years! ***If you look closely you can see the ball is being held in the right hand, shape of a football or oblong ball*** At the end of 2023 I was contacted by LE ROSEY directly regarding items in my possession. Those items, being a collection of personal letters, photos and other associative memorabilia were purchased by the school for $10,000. I refused to include my most valuable pieces, those being these medals and the yearbook featured on my account. After receiving the collection, Director PHILIPPE GUDIN then gifted the items to the schools archivist and they are now on display at the school for the attending students. That collection entailed primarily personal correspondence (of historic nature) to and from students that attended the school before and during the start of WWII. Both students also transferred to Philips Exeter University in the United States to avoid a potential volatile environment. This coin has come from one of those students (ELMER S. KADAR, family of the ruling party of Hungary - JANOS KADAR) that attended LE ROSEY between 1936 & 1939. RARE METER 10/10 - Extremely Rare! Finding physical LE ROSEY memorabilia is one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish, especially for older items. However, coins, medals and medallions have NEVER surfaced online from LE ROSEY before. This is due to the students that attend the school being from some of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. You have a better chance of coming into contact with a CIA Director, King, Prince or President that attended LE ROSEY than you do stumbling across one of these coins... ABOUT THE ENGRAVING: Fritz Huguenin was the engraver of this Le Rosey coin. He and his brother, Albert Huguenin, set up a small handcrafting watchcase-decorating workshop using niello technique, located at Le Locle, Switzerland; 1888 - issued their first medal; 1899 - factory built and company began to manufacture medals.
