Description: A Mongolian coin struck by St Petersburg Mint (Leningrad Mint) when China had not recognized the country’s independence. A truly historic piece that will fit in many different themes of collecting. This coin, in our opinion, is in much better condition than the assigned grade. The surfaces are smoother than many MS-61 examples we’ve handled before. Except for a few MS-64 pieces, the finest grade most collectors can get are usually MS-62 & MS-63, while this coin is certainly not much lesser.
