Description: I have here for sale a book entitled KEW GARDENS Painted by T MOWER MARTIN, R.C.A. Described by A R HOPE MONCRIEFF With 24 Full-Page Illustrations in Colour published by Adam and Charles Black, London, in 1908. First edition. This book on the beautiful Kew Gardens has five chapters: Royal Residences; Kew in Favour; The Story of the Gardens; The Village: In and about It; and Visiting the Gardens. All 24 full-page colour plates are present. Olive green decorated cloth boards with black lettering on the front board. Minor marks on the boards. Gilt lettering with a gilt illustration on the spine. Slight bumping to top and bottom of the spine. Light foxing and browning to endpapers with name of previous owner on the front endpaper. Light foxing to pages. Plate a page 112 detached but all other pages are firm and the book is in very good condition. ix, 208 pages. 20.5 x 14.5 cm.
