These are Red Mangroves, scientific name is RhizoPhora Mangle. Born in the wild, raised for almost 3 years outdoors in freshwater. They will adapt to indoor saltwater tanks BUT you must acclimate in freshwater for a few weeks first. Give them plenty of light or sun. Even IF the plant was raised in salinity you should always acclimate plants when receiving them. The reason is that all plants get stressed during shipping. Plants get stressed even when being moved from one place to another. The reason for acclimating in freshwater is because they use more energy in saltwater. And if you do not acclimate you risk shocking the already stressed plants. I have sold thousands of red mangroves. I specialize in this plant alone. 99% success/survival rate. There's a misconception that they need saltwater but that is false, they can tolerate saltwater but they Do NOT need any salt/saltwater. They actually extract the salt through their leaves. That's why it is recommended to spray down their leaves with freshwater often. There's studies that show that they grow faster in freshwater. But with good lighting they'll thrive anywhere. If you have no experience I suggest you search on YouTube or Google on how to properly care for your plants. They are low to no maintenance plants. Follow these steps to acclimate. Place in bucket or freshwater tank. Add filtered freshwater to cover a few inches above the roots. Always keep leaves above water so plant can breathe. You can place in dirt, soil, sand, gravel or a mixture of them. Or you can also place with just water alone. No matter what you do, always keep them wet, always. Then add 1/20 of your tanks water or saltwater, or brackish water to the bucket every 3 or 4 days.
